Wintershall Dea Takes Consent for Use of West Mira on Vega

Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) have given Wintershall Dea consent to use the West Mira mobile drilling facility for production drilling on the Vega field.

The consent applies to production drilling on the Vega field using the West Mira mobile drilling facility. The facility is operated by Seadrill and received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA in 2019.

Vega
Vega is a field located in the northern part of the North Sea, 28 kilometres west of the Gjoa field. The water depth in the area is 370 metres. The field has been developed with three subsea templates with four slots, tied to the processing facility on the Gjøa field. Production started in 2010.
