Transneft Completes Technical Connection of Ust-Balyk — Omsk OTP Line

Transneft Western Siberia has completed the technical connection of the route overhead electric power transmission line (6 kV OTL) at the Ust-Balyk — Omsk oil trunk pipeline section in the area of responsibility of the Ishim Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD).

The commissioning of the 6 kV OTL will improve the reliability of power supply to the main and auxiliary equipment of the Ust-Balyk — Omsk oil trunk pipeline.

The replacement of the route overhead transmission line was carried out in the territory of Krutinsky District of Omsk Region as part of the technical upgrading programme for operating facilities of Transneft Western Siberia for 2018-2023. The existing 6 kV OTL is designed to supply power to the equipment of the Ust-Balyk — Omsk oil trunk pipeline (OTP).

During the Technical Upgrading, a set of construction and installation works with replacement of wires, lifting beams, installation of crossover lines and sleeves was performed. The wires mounting was carried out using glass insulators.
