Victoria Oil & Gas Plc , whose wholly-owned subsidiary is Gaz du Cameroun S.A. ("GDC"), the onshore gas producer and distributor with operations located in the port city of Douala, Cameroon , is pleased to announce it has appointed Rob Collins as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") of the Company effective immediately.
Rob joined the Company in February 2020 as a Non-Executive Director and was also appointed Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee. Rob brings a wealth of expertise with over 20 years' experience in Natural Resources Corporate Finance, advising on a broad range of corporate transactions spanning various commodity groups and transactions. He has successfully advised on numerous IPOs, public and private equity raises and M&A transactions for many Official List, AIM, TSX and ASX listed companies. Prior to joining the Company as a Non-Executive Director, Rob was joint senior partner of Alternative Resource Capital LLP ("ARC"), a business he co-founded. He will remain an advisor to ARC in a non-executive capacity. Prior to ARC, Rob headed up the Natural Resource teams at Zeus Capital Limited , GMP Securities Europe LLP , Canaccord Genuity Europe Limited and Evolution Securities Limited . Rob commenced his career at Coopers and Lybrand and is qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
On his appointment to CFO, Rob will step down as Chairman of the Audit Committee and a new Chairman will be appointed in due course.
All other Board roles remain unchanged for the moment, but the Company is reviewing the appointment of an additional Non-Executive Director.
