Transneft North Commissions Oil Storage Tank in Komi Republic

Transneft North has commissioned the repaired oil storage tank at the Ukhta-1 oil pumping station of the Ukhta Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate of Transneft North in the Komi Republic.

The work at the tank with a volume of 20 thousand m3 was launched in June as part of the technical upgrading and revamping programme. The goal was to maintain operational reliability of operating facilities.

Partial replacement of the tank’s metal structures with a diameter of more than 45 metres and a height of 12 metres was performed. The total weight of the metal structures used exceeded 4 tonnes.

Integrated performance testing of the equipment and the systems of the tank was carried out within 72 hours and confirmed its complete readiness for commissioning.
