At JANAF's Zitnjak-Zagreb Terminal, an integrated solar photovoltaic power plant with a nominal power of 90 kW was put into operation, which is JANAF's first renewable energy project . A solar photovoltaic plant was built on approximately 600 m 2 of the roof area of ??the auxiliary building at the Zitnjak Terminal, which will produce about 108,540 kWh of electricity per year and thus save about HRK 70,000.00 per year in electricity costs and reduce CO2 emissions annually. for 65 tons.
The roof of the existing auxiliary building was chosen for the installation of the solar photovoltaic power plant, so that no ground surfaces were occupied, and the construction was financed by JANAF dd with its own funds.
"The commissioning of the solar photovoltaic power plant can be called the first step of JANAF towards the design and implementation of a long-term low-carbon development strategy in renewable energy sources. Namely, the new development strategy of the Company will pay special attention to the identification of development projects, especially in the renewable energy sector, and possibly in other compatible, propulsive and highly profitable high-tech industries, with the aim of generating higher revenues and creating new added value. Also, projects that can be financed from European funds will be considered, especially from the Innovation Fund, the European Green Plan and the Recovery Program ", said the President of the Management Board of JANAF, M.Sc. Stjepan Adanic.
