Equinor Receives Consent to Use COSLPromoter at Troll

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has given given Equinor Energy (Equinor) extended consent to use the COSLPromoter mobile drilling facility on the Troll field.

Use of facility
This consent is an extension of an existing consent.

The consent covers drilling, completion, workover of well, well intervention and plugging on the Troll field.

COSLPromoter is a semi-submersible, dynamically positioned, drilling facility of the GM4000 type. The facility is owned and operated by COSL Drilling Europe, and received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA in 2012.
