Transneft Siberia has completed scheduled repairs at oil pumping stations and trunk pipelines. The repairs were carried out in Tyumen Region and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra.
During a scheduled shutdown of the Kholmogory – Klin, the Ust-Balyk – Nizhnevartovsk, the Nizhnevartovsk – Kurgan – Kuybyshev, the Shaim – Tyumen, and the Ust-Balyk – Kurgan – Ufa – Almetyevsk oil pipelines, specialists performed midlife repairs and replacement of stop valves and process equipment of the line, according to the annual plan. Defective pipe sections were replaced. Elements preventing inspection with in-line inspection tools were eliminated. Two temporary pipeline clean-up and inspection tools were disconnected from the Kholmogory – Klin oil trunk pipeline. The measures taken will increase the reliability and safety of the facilities.
One mainline pump unit each at the Setovo-1 and the Setovo-2 oil pumping stations were decommissioned for further replacement and renewal of the pump units system. After revamping, one mainline pump each were commissioned at the Aremzyany-3 PS and the Aprelskaya line operation dispatcher station, as well as a booster pump unit at the Konda-2 PS. The new equipment manufactured by Transneft Oil Pumps (Chelyabinsk) is energy-efficient, has increased efficiency, extended repair interval and increased service life.
The scheduled measures were performed taking into account the requirements of occupational health, industrial and environmental safety. The operation of the pipelines was resumed as per schedule; they are operating under the standard protocol.
