Managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) announced that the first loading harbor to export liquid gas was operated in export-service port of Tombak.
Referring to favorable condition in developing the port in the current year, Meshkinfam said that the first ship landed last week and 6700 tons of liquid gas was loaded and exported successfully, public relations reported.
He stated that there is no obstacle to export liquid gas from Tombak port so that a 44000-ton tanker is going to arrive at the port next week to load the liquid gas produced from the Pars 2 refineries.
Currently, there are 6 pipelines under construction which will lead LPG of phases 13 and 22-24 to Tombak port.
Having completed the pipelines, the cold LPG of these phases will be possible to load and export through Tombak port.
Referring to building procedure of South Pars combined cycle power plant, managing director said that there are 6 power-generating units in Besat power plant that 4 out of which are at the final stages of construction.
As scheduled the 4 units will be put into operation in 2 months and the 2 remaining units will be completed 3 months later. In general, combined cycle power plant will be operational by the end of coming summer.
As the power plant comes to operation, it will add another 500MW of power and will meet the predetermined capacity, namely 1500MW.
Meshkinfam also explained the latest changes in the refinery of phase 14 saying that the utilities are almost prepared and will be fully operational by the end of current March.
On the first treatment train of phase 14, he said some equipment is being pursued by foreigner manufacturers. It is anticipated that the first train will operate by the end of May.
According to managing director of POGC, we were obliged to generate 676 million cubic meters of sour gas from South Pars gas field as initially planned. However, we are extracting 692 million cubic meters this year.
