Northwest Oilfield Drilled Hundred-Ton High-Yield Well in Carboniferous

The longest horizontal well TKC1-1H in the lithological reservoir of the Northwest Oilfield was tested with 100 tons of high-yield industrial oil and gas flow. The well was designed by Northwest Oilfield and constructed by the Tarim Branch of Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering. Through integrated geological and engineering operations, the horizontal section length is 716 meters, the thickness of the drilled oil layer is 560 meters, the daily oil production is 120 cubic meters, and the natural gas is 40,000 cubic meters. Lay the foundation for efficient development of Carboniferous in He Oilfield.

The Tahe Oilfield is the main production position of the Northwest Oilfield and the first large marine carbonate oil and gas field in China. Its main production zone is an Ordovician carbonate reservoir buried at a depth of 6000 meters. Over the years, when a large number of wells drilled to the Ordovician, it was confirmed that the Carboniferous oil and gas above it were abundant. However, the Carboniferous oil and gas reservoirs are deep, thin, small, and scattered. The prediction and development of the reservoir are difficult. There are no reference cases at home and abroad, and the overall production level of the reservoir is low.

The Northwest Oilfield optimizes the drilling and completion design based on the integrated geological engineering operation mode, based on comprehensive geological and reservoir research, and uses a comprehensive project management mechanism to organize construction. Before the well's drilling trajectory enters the thin sand body reservoir, geological experts and engineering personnel are stationed in the well to obtain first-hand on-site data to make decisions and shorten the drilling cycle. After drilling to the reservoir, they combined reservoir research with drilling and completion technology, applied drilling geosteering technology, corrected the geological model through the real-time transmission of formation data from the bottom of the well, optimized the trajectory of horizontal wells, and ensured the "sweet spot" drilling rate of the reservoir.

At present, 106 Carboniferous lithologic reservoirs in Tahe Oilfield have been put into production, with a cumulative production of 1.8 million tons of crude oil and 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The high production of Well TKC1-1H verifies the accuracy of the thin reservoir identification and prediction technology. It is estimated that the geological reserves will be more than 5 million tons, which will open up a new production position for the construction of 10 million tons of oil and gas fields in the Northwest Oilfield.
