Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading PT Pertamina (Persero) ensure the stock of fuel oil (BBM), LPG and Avtur for distribution in the West Java Region (JBB) and Central Java (JBT) confirmed to be safe after the fire incident in the Refinery Unit IV Cilacap area, Friday (11/6) night.
Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading of PT Pertamina (Persero), Putut Andriatno in a press statement stated that the incident did not affect the distribution of fuel and LPG in Central Java, DIY and parts of Tasikmalaya and Bandung, West Java.
"Currently, seven (7) fuel terminals or fuel terminals and three (3) LPG terminals in Central Java and DIY are ensured to be safe and operating normally. For the FT Tasikmalaya and FT Bandung Group areas, which are also supplied from RU IV Cilacap, the stock conditions are safe and ready to distribute fuel and LPG in their areas," said Putut.
In this situation, Pertamina Patra Niaga has also prepared a Regular, Alternative, and Emergency (RAE) supply pattern mechanism as a contingency plan. The emergency mechanism can be done by maximizing products from other refineries to be distributed to the area or the FT and LPG terminal facilities which have been supplied from RU IV Cilacap or optimizing the supply transfer from the nearest FT and LPG terminal.
"The current RAE step is not needed considering that the fire does not interfere with refinery operations and is not related to fuel or LPG products. We also continue to monitor stock at gas stations, especially in areas that are supplied from RU IV Cilacap through the digitalization system in real time, so there is no need to panic, we remain committed to ensuring the availability of fuel and LPG for the community, "added Putut.
