Vestas Wins 219 MW Order in the USA

Vestas has received an order from an undisclosed customer for two wind projects in the USA totalling 219 MW. One project consists of 26 V150-4.2 MW turbines while the other includes 22 V150-4.2 MW and three V136-4.2 MW turbines, with all turbines delivered in 4.3 MW operating mode.

“This order builds on the success that the V150-4.2 MW wind turbine has had both in the USA and globally and cements its position as one of the most applicable large wind turbines in the market,” said Jeff Fuchs, Vice President of Sales for Vestas in North America.

Both orders include supply, transport, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance of the asset.

Turbine delivery for the projects begin in the second and third quarters of 2022 with commissioning scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of 2022.The customer and projects are undisclosed.
