COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd. (CHI (Shanghai)) completed the repairing of “MV ATLANTIC LEGEND” in advance, and received highly praising from the ship owner.
The vessel has been chartered before entering to yard, and the repairing period should be shortened according to the fixed chartering date. While the condition of the vessel was worse than expected, there were unclear leaking in oil tank and there were not enough capacity on board to store the remaining oil in the leaking tank. The ship repair team of CHI (Shanghai) made three plans for this issue immediately, and solved the leaking problem safely and efficiently. The lady “ATLANTIC LEGEND”sailed one day ahead of schedule. It is a triple win for the owner, the charterer and the yard.
