The 7000TEU container ship ordered this time is a medium-sized container ship, independently designed by SDARI, implementing the design concepts of green environmental protection, high efficiency and energy saving, and transportation safety. The ship is 272.5 meters long, 42.8 meters wide, and has a structural draft of 14.55 meters, which meets the requirements of TIERIII and EEDI phase three.
Founded in 2001, Dexiang Shipping is a major liner operator in Taiwan. It is mainly engaged in container transportation business in the Asian region. It operates a total container fleet of 46 ships, with a total capacity of close to 100,000 TEU, and a stable operating style. This signing is the first cooperation between the two parties, which further expands the customer base of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding in Taiwan.
It is reported that after this contract, the company has more than 10 orders for 7000TEU container ships, which has effectively consolidated the company's market share in the medium-sized container ship segment and laid a good foundation for the company to achieve mass production and efficient construction of medium-sized container ships. .
