The DaHW1506 well of Xinjiang Oilfield successfully hit 44 MPa, marking the successful completion of the first long horizontal well of the Western Drilling Engineering Institute and breaking the domestic fine control. The horizontal section length record of the compaction completion construction realized the first time for the Xinjiang Oilfield to run the casing under precise pressure control, and explored a new way of finely controlled pressure cementing under a narrow density window.

Well DaHW1506 is a horizontal well deployed by Xinjiang Oilfield in Da13 well block Da15 fault block of Mahu Oilfield in Junggar Basin. In order to effectively solve the problems of small casing and difficult cementing construction in this well, the fine pressure control project team of the Western Institute of Drilling Engineering proposed a precise pressure control casing construction plan, and specially formulated a pressure control completion well control plan and emergency safeguard measures. During the casing running process, the project team strictly controlled the increase of drilling fluid density and casing running speed, added a smooth transition baffle ring, and implemented the pressure reduction and density reduction process after the casing was successfully lowered, creating favorable conditions for controlled pressure cementing. In the cementing construction, the whole process is replaced with a small displacement, and the bottom hole equivalent density is accurately controlled with fine pressure control to achieve real-time balance of bottom hole pressure, ensuring that the pressure control cementing process does not leak or overflow, and effectively guarantees the wellbore cementing Quality and well control safety.
