Hudong Zhonghua Achieved the Same Docking of two LNG Ships

Chinese shipbuilding Hudong Zhonghua has made another great achievement in the history of LNG ship construction! On November 23, the company’s Changxing Shipbuilding No. 2 dock reported a good news. The first ship H1831A for the 174,000 cubic meter LNG project built for China National Petroleum Corporation and the 79960 cubic meter LNG ship No. 2 ship H1789A built for K LINE successfully completed the docking node. This is the first time that the company has achieved two complete LNG ship releases at the same time, marking the continuous improvement of Hudong Zhonghua LNG ship construction efficiency and the realization of a leap from "following" to "leading" in the world of LNG ship construction.

During the construction of this batch of ships, three LNG ships, H1831A, H1789A, and H1832A were built at the same time in No. 2 Dock, which is facing great production pressure. The company takes the "four innovations" project as the guide, and deepens the party building activities into the front line of production. Faced with the imbalance in the quantity, all departments work together to make breakthroughs in key points, give full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of party members and cadres, actively plan ahead, and coordinate all parties. Departmental production finally overcame difficulties, ensuring that all ships meet the requirements for undocking and floating, achieving another first in the history of China's large-scale LNG ship construction.

The integrity of the 79960 cubic meter LNG ship that was undocked that day greatly exceeded that of foreign shipyards and reached the best in the world: nearly 40,000 insulated tanks were installed on the ship, the construction of the main layer of the three cargo tanks was completed, and the in-dock pump was realized for the first time. Tower crane installation, the entire ship's cryogenic pipes are all finished except for the pump tower area. With the blessing of this series of excellent construction results, the construction team is confident that the ship will be delivered 6 months after the ship is out of dock, and will create the world's fastest construction record of the largest LNG ship for river-sea combined transportation by then. Similarly, thanks to lean construction, the completeness of the first 174,000 cubic meters LNG ship of China National Petroleum Corporation has also been improved compared to the same series of ships. In the case of multiple LNG transportation equipment being built concurrently, the company scientifically uses systematic engineering methods to optimize the production management system of the entire LNG industry chain, greatly shortening the construction period and continuously setting new records. The "Hudong-Hudong two-in-one" trial mode was formed. LNG-FSRU was delivered 5 months ahead of schedule, and the terminal cycle was shortened to 10 months, reaching the same level as South Korea; the all-round LNG bunkering vessel "Natural Gas·Vigor", "throughput" The world's fastest rate and advanced technical indicators in the world; 79,960 cubic meters of LNG ship has reached the world's leading position in terms of undock integrity, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction.
