Salman Platform Gas Production to be Resumed Soon
Source: www.gulfoilandgas.com 4/8/2022, Location: AsiaThe production manager of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company said: After repairing the damaged gas pipeline from Salman field to Siri and Assaluyeh islands, the production and transfer of natural gas from the joint field will be resumed within the next month.
According to Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC), Mr. Amirsalari said: “Due to the pressure drop in the 30-inch pipeline transferring gas from Salman field to Siri Island, in November, the necessary measures were taken to diagnose and investigate the matter.”
He said that the repair of the pipeline is very complicated due to the great depth of water and unfavorable sea conditions, adding: "Fortunately, this project has been handed over to one of the capable domestic contractors and the relevant repairs have begun."
