Rowan – Rowan Stavanger – Structures and Maritime Systems

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has carried out an audit of Rowan (Valaris) Norway (Rowan) and their management of structures and maritime systems for Rowan Stavanger. The audit was conducted on 15 and 16 March 2022.

Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that the company's management of structural safety and maritime systems for Rowan Stavanger complies with relevant regulations.

Result
No regulatory non-conformities were identified, but we observed two matters that we have chosen to categorize as improvement points. These concerned the follow-up of other participants’ management systems and appendices to the class certificate.

What happens now?
We have asked the company to give us its assessment of the improvement points observed by 19 May 2022.
