Meeting of the Secretary General with Angola’s Secretary of State for Oil and Gas

HE Eng. Mohamed Hamel, Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries held a meeting with Eng. José Barroso, Secretary of State for Oil and Gas of the Republic of Angola via videoconference today. During the call, the two sides explored the ambition of the GECF Observer Member Angola to advance further its domestic hydrocarbon industries and unlock the potential of its vast natural gas resources to spur economic development of the country.

The officials discussed practical steps forward in deepening cooperation in the matters pertaining to technology development, experience and knowledge sharing, and elimination of energy poverty.
