Notice of Audit at Equinor – Mongstad

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has given notice that it will conduct an audit of Equinor after a series of incidents at the Mongstad plant. These undesirable incidents have related to materials handling at the facility.

The PSA’s object is to follow up the way Equinor as operator has handled these events and utilised the lessons learnt from them. Attention will be concentrated primarily on incidents over the past two months in the categories of dropped objects and lifting operations.

Due to be carried out at Mongstad on 21-22 June 2022, the audit will involve meetings, interviews and document reviews.
