Åsa Jamal New Senior Vice President and Head of Group Communications at Vattenfall

Åsa Jamal has been appointed new Senior Vice President and Head of Group Communications at Vattenfall. She succeeds Karin Lepasoon, who will take on another external position. Åsa Jamal joins Vattenfall on September 1.

Åsa Jamal has a solid background within communications, having been SVP and Head of Group Communications at Telia Company, SVP and Head of Communication and HR at Bonnier Broadcasting/TV4 and Partner and Managing Director at communications consultancy JKL.

"I look forward to welcome Åsa to Vattenfall’s executive management team. With her broad and long experience from communications in several different industries, she will play an important role in Vattenfall’s continued journey towards a fossil free life", says Anna Borg, Vattenfall’s CEO.

Åsa Jamal will report to Vattenfall’s CEO Anna Borg, be a member of the Executive Group Management team and she will be based in Solna, Sweden.

Karin Lepasoon will remain with Vattenfall until September 25 2022 to ensure an efficient handover.
