Pioneering Spirit is deploying her topsides and jacket lift technology to install TenneT’s 900-MW offshore converter station for the offshore grid connection system DolWin6 in the German North Sea.

After departing Rotterdam, the approx. 5,000-tonne heavy foundation jacket is standing on the seabed and piling of the substructure is underway. 11,000-tonne topsides to follow.

This is the first time Pioneering Spirit’s unique lift systems are being used to transport and install an entire converter platform for the offshore wind industry.

To make it possible, our engineers adapted existing lifting systems for pile driving technology to secure the jacket to the seabed, once again demonstrating our ability to execute technically challenging offshore projects.
