HOUSTON, TEXAS – Mustang Engineering’s Midstream Group announces that it has developed a proprietary air exchange vaporization process (patents pending) for efficiently and economically regasifying liquefied natural gas (LNG). This LNG SmartTM Vaporization process can reduce fuel gas consumption and NOx and CO2 air emissions by as much as 90%, as compared to conventional combustion vaporization technology. The process can also be used in lieu of sea water vaporization technology, reducing the potential harmful effect on marine life. The process was specially designed to use commercially available equipment and can be used equally as well on new or existing facilities, either onshore or offshore. This unique process also produces large amounts of fresh water that are easily treatable for potable consumption.

The LNG SmartTM Vaporization process is one of Mustang’s LNG SmartTM technologies, composed of products and services that have been developed by a Mustang team of industry-known and respected LNG professionals. Mustang’s LNG technology team is led by process developer Ned Baudat, who holds several LNG patents. The LNG SmartTM technologies provide unique solutions for improving the commercial viability of LNG receiving terminals and liquefaction plants, which will help satisfy the global demand for clean natural gas.
