Gassco – Manned Underwater Operations – Kalstø

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has carried out an audit of Gassco’s management and execution of manned underwater operations for the Kalstø landfall facility. The audit was conducted in June 2022.
Objective
The objective of the audit is to verify that Gassco's management and execution of manned underwater operations comply with the regulatory requirements.
Result
One non-conformity was identified concerning responsibility and authority for manned underwater operations.
In addition, an improvement point was identified concerning qualifications and competence.
What happens next?
We have asked Gassco to report to us on how the non-conformity will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement point observed. The reply deadline is set at 9 December 2022.
