JSC "Admiralty Shipyards" successfully completed the sea stage of state trials of large diesel-electric submarine of project 636 "Ufa".

"Ufa" is the fourth submarine in the series for the Pacific Fleet, it was laid down in November of 2019 with participation of RF Navy Commander-In-Chief Nikolay Evmenov. The sea stage of the state sea trials program for the submarine was commenced at the end of September this year. The event took place at the training grounds of the Baltic Fleet.

"The experts from JSC "Admiralty Shipyards" verified the operation of the vessel’s devices, mechanisms and equipment, including the sonar and navigation complexes." says Ruslan Sheremetiev, head of shipbuilding department. "The submarine successfully performed deep-sea dives, and the Shipyard’s specialists, together with the crew, assessed the submarine's controllability at different navigation depths."

Upon completion of the sea stage of the state trials, "Ufa" will go to the Shipyards for revision and finishing.

The submarines of the modified project 636.6 have a higher (compared to the previous projects) combat effectiveness. Optimal balance of acoustic covertness and target acquisition range, state-of-the-art inertial navigation complex, modern computer aided data management and control system along with powerful fast-response torpedo-missile armament ensure the global leadership of this class vessels in conventional submarine shipbuilding. JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” is the undisputed leader in the construction of submarines of this class, also providing warranty and after-sales service.
