The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has carried out an audit of Equinor's follow-up of the maintenance of concrete structures and tension legs on the Heidrun TLP. The audit was conducted between 5 and 9 December 2022.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to ensure that Equinor has established systems for condition monitoring, maintenance and repairs of concrete structures and tension legs on the Heidrun TLP so as to ensure its safety.
Result
One non-conformity was identified relating to the follow-up of manning and competence.
Three areas with potential for improvement were also identified. These concerned:
- Overall plan for performance of the maintenance programme
- Use of data for marine fouling on tension legs
- Reporting of damage in CODAM
What happens next?
We have asked Equinor to report to us by 17 February 2023 on how the non-conformity will be addressed, and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
