Vår Energi – Goliat – Management of Helideck & Helicopter Operations

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has carried out an audit of Vår Energi and their management of the helideck and helicopter operations at Goliat. The audit was conducted between 13 and 16 December 2022, with the assistance of the Civil Aviation Authority Norway.

Objective
The objective of the audit was to ensure that the responsible parties are working systematically to reduce the risk associated with helicopter operations at Vår Energi AS’s offshore facilities.

Result
In connection with the verification of helideck operations, the Civil Aviation Authority Norway identified non-conformities and made observations. These are attached in a separate non-conformity list.

What happens next?
We have asked Vår Energi to report on how the non-conformities will be addressed. The deadline for this is set at 15 February 2023.
