This project is currently the largest green hydrogen coupled coal chemical project in the world. It uses the abundant solar and wind energy resources in the Ordos area to directly produce green hydrogen. It can produce 30,000 tons of green hydrogen and 240,000 tons of green oxygen annually, which will strongly promote my country's green hydrogen industry. Sinopec will take project construction as a new starting point, accelerate the pace of transformation and structural adjustment of enterprises in Inner Mongolia, comprehensively improve the quality of clean energy supply assurance, accelerate the development of the entire hydrogen energy industry chain, and promote enterprise-local cooperation to a deeper level, wider field, A higher level will make new and greater contributions to Inner Mongolia's "new path of high-quality development oriented by ecological priority and green development".

It is reported that this project is the second green hydrogen demonstration project built by Sinopec since the construction of the Xinjiang Kuqa Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project in 2021. It will be implemented by Xinxing Company, mainly including wind energy and photovoltaic power generation, power transmission and transformation, and electrolysis of water. Hydrogen, hydrogen storage, hydrogen transmission and other 5 parts. The green hydrogen and green oxygen produced by the project will be transported to the nearby Zhongtian Hechuang Ordos Coal Deep Processing Demonstration Project by pipeline to replace part of the coal-to-hydrogen, achieve the purpose of carbon reduction, and effectively promote the integration of the traditional synthetic material chemical industry and the hydrogen energy industry Integrated development will help clean and efficient utilization of coal, expand the source of chemical raw materials, form a new industrial model and new development path for hydrogen energy and renewable energy utilization, further expand the application scenarios of green hydrogen, and help achieve the "double carbon" goal.

At the same time, this project is Sinopec's first green hydrogen production-utilization full-process project integrating wind energy and photovoltaic power generation, which solves many technical problems of hydrogen production under the condition of renewable fluctuating power supply. Sinopec will give full play to its own advantages and use new technologies such as hydrogen production as a breakthrough to help Inner Mongolia explore a new model for improving comprehensive energy utilization efficiency, improve energy utilization efficiency, and promote low-carbon energy, so as to contribute to the energy transformation and development of Inner Mongolia and create clean energy in Northwest my country The large base plays an active role and demonstrates the responsibility of central enterprises.
