GTT announces it has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
The United Nations Global Compact is a call to companies around the world to align their operations and strategies with the “Ten principles”, which derive from the fundamental texts of the United Nations, in the fields of human rights, labor law, the environment and the fight against corruption. GTT joins the 15,000 companies united within this initiative throughout the world and is committed to promoting the Ten principles and implementing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals[1] of the Global Compact as part of its environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy.
Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, declared: “ Guided by its “raison d’être”, the GTT group puts its technologies at the service of decarbonising, and pursues its mission of contributing to build a sustainable world. We are particularly proud today to join the United Nations Global Compact and thus demonstrate our commitment to a sustainable and responsible economy.”
