The earthwork construction of the 700 MW high-efficiency and clean coal power expansion project of Yunnan Energy Investment Honghe Power Plant, which China Energy Construction Zhejiang Thermal Power participated in, officially started.
The project is located in the Green Textile Technology Industrial Park of Xiahunshuitang, Chenggan Village, Lebaidao Street Office, Kaiyuan City, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is an expansion of a 700-megawatt new generator set at the original site. The unit adopts the most advanced ultra-supercritical unit in China CFB power generation technology is the circulating fluidized bed unit with the largest stand-alone capacity in China at present. The project construction period is planned to be 22 months, and it will be completed and put into operation in the first quarter of 2025.
After the completion of the project, about 175,000 tons of standard coal can be saved each year, and carbon emissions can be reduced by about 500,000 tons. At that time, the total installed capacity of "one large and two small" of Honghe Power Plant will reach 1,300 megawatts, and the annual power generation can reach more than 7 billion kWh. It has become the largest stable power source support point in southern Yunnan, which can effectively meet the needs of Yunnan Province's "14th Five-Year Plan" and medium and long-term load growth, accelerate the construction of a modern energy system in Yunnan, and make more positive contributions to the energy security of Yunnan Province.
