The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has carried out an audit of Transocean Services (Transocean) focused on the operation of the positioning system on the Transocean Enabler mobile drilling facility. The audit was conducted on 13 March 2023.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to ascertain through discussions and verifications that Transocean’s management of marine systems for Transocean Enabler complies with relevant regulations.
Result
One regulatory non-conformity was identified during the audit. This concerned:
Clarification of preconditions for operation of the anchor system in the anchoring analysis report for Transocean Enabler at Goliat D.
What happens now?
We have asked Transocean to report to us by 6 June 2023 on how the non-conformity will be addressed.
