After a year of construction, the Virje solar power plant with installed power of 10.2 MW and connection power of 9 MW, with 18,670 photovoltaic modules installed, was put into trial operation at the Molve Central Gas Station in Virje.
This solar power plant is the second largest in Croatia, and it will deliver 12,225 MWh of power to the grid annually, which will be sufficient to supply a larger city. During its construction, KONCAR – Engineering utilized state-of-the-art technological solutions, with the works commencing in the spring of 2022. Along with the Virje solar power plant, the one in Sisak, also owned by INA, will soon be put into trial operation. By constructing Virje, Koncar assisted INA in becoming a commercial producer of power from renewable energy sources for the first time in its history. We are extremely pleased that INA selected Koncar as a partner that will assist them in their clean energy transition.
