Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Alexey Dyumin, Governor of the Tula Region, signed an Agreement of Intent.
The parties will collaborate on the project to be implemented by Gazprom for the construction of Russia's largest specialized foundry complex to produce turbine blades for industrial, marine and power-generating gas turbines. The turbine blades are high-tech and hard-to-manufacture turbine components. During operation, it is the blades that are most heavily affected by dynamic loads and ultra-high temperatures.
It is planned that the new enterprise will be located in the Uzlovaya special economic zone in the Tula Region.
The project implementation will foster the development of Russia's power machinery industry.
Alexey Miller and Oleg Melnichenko, Governor of the Penza Region, inked a Roadmap to expand the use of high-tech products, including import-substituting ones, offered by regional organizations, for the benefit of the Company.
The document covers the period from 2023 through 2025. It envisages that the region will draw up a list of products that are relevant in terms of their potential use at Gazprom's facilities. The Company will consider the production capabilities of the enterprises and check their proposals for compliance with the corporate technical requirements. The products certified with the INTERGAZCERT system will be permitted for use at Gazprom and be eligible for the Company's procurement procedures.
This is already the second roadmap between Gazprom and the Penza Region. The first one was signed in 2019. During its validity period, a number of the region's industrial enterprises mastered the production and performed the supplies of equipment for the needs of Gazprom.
In the presence of Alexey Miller, an Agreement of Cooperation was signed by Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Alexander Moor, Governor of the Tyumen Region.
The parties will cooperate in implementing the project for the creation of a new gas turbine engine TM-16 with a capacity of 16 MW at the production site of the Tyumenskiye Motorostroiteli (Tyumen Motor Builders) Plant, which forms part of the Gazprom Energoholding Industrial Assets Group. This type of equipment is used at compressor stations for gas transmission.
The enterprise will develop the design and process documentation for manufacturing a prototype of the engine with excellent technical & economic and environmental parameters. Subsequently, the TM-16 gas turbine engine can be used, inter alia, for replacing the foreign engines of the same capacity that have reached the end of their useful life.
The regional authorities will help the Tyumenskiye Motorostroiteli Plant organize interaction with higher educational institutions and colleges to train young specialists so that they can get professions that are in high demand by the enterprise.
Gazprom, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the state-owned Rostec Corporation also signed an Agreement of Intent today. Pursuant to the document, the parties intend to cooperate in the manufacture and supplies of high-power gas turbine engines GTE-110M. The turbines of this capacity are used at thermal power plants.
