Eidsiva and Hafslund, two energy companies based in Norway, are teaming up to work together on the development of onshore wind power.

This collaborative effort involves partnering with the municipalities where the projects will take place, as well as engaging with landowners and local communities.

Both Hafslund and Eidsiva are owned by the Innlandet County Council, along with 28 municipalities in Innlandet and Oslo Municipality.

These companies have a long-standing history of over 100 years in the energy sector, focusing on the development and production of renewable energy. They are recognized as major players within the Norwegian energy industry.

Executive vice president for strategy and growth in Eidsiva, Petter Myrvold, said “We represent a robust public ownership that, together with host municipalities and landowners, will be able to safeguard local considerations and regional spin-off effects in a good way.”

“The development, development and operation of onshore wind power is ultimately about the values and resources of society.”

“Good processes and broad involvement are therefore important.”

Deputy CEO and CEO of Hafslund Vekst, Martin Lundby, added “Together with positive ripple effects, we believe these are important factors in achieving local acceptance and good coexistence for new onshore wind power developments in Norway.”
