Friday was the highlight of the awards ceremony that reinforced the links between engineering and business. These awards are given every year by the Official College of Industrial Engineers of the Principality and were held at the Hotel de la Reconquista in Oviedo.
On this occasion, the award was given to Windar Renovables, in honor of the extraordinary impact on the Asturian business network of its technological and innovation activities, with national and international projection, as well as for considering the participation of industrial engineering in the achievement of its objectives.
Windar Renovables has been highlighted for its great contribution to the regional economy, its roots, growth and internationalization, as was made known by the company’s General Business Director, Justo Acedo, who was responsible for receiving the award from what has become a leading company in the clean and green energy sector.
Acedo took the opportunity to talk about the potential operation that would lead Windar to acquire the old Alcoa’s facilities in Avilés and to highlight the company’s international vocation and highly qualified human capital.
