The project Pizarroso, located in Cáceres, Extremadura, will generate around 95 GWh per year and will prevent the emission of 67,325 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere annually.
Solarpack has connected to the grid a new 49.84 megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic plant located in Cáceres, Extremadura.
The new photovoltaic plant, Pizarroso, has been built on an area of 91 hectares, will generate around 95 GWh per year and will avoid the emission of more than 2,000,000 tonnes of CO2 over the lifetime of the project, providing electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of 27,000 homes.
This project, whose has a total of 76,160 photovoltaic modules, has started to feed clean energy into the electricity grid and has generated 195 jobs during the construction phase, of which 50% were filled by local workers.

This plant is Solarpack's sixth in Extremadura, where the company has a total installed capacity of 171 MW, and the thirteenth in Spain, where it has a total installed capacity of 345 MW.
