After a series of hoisting procedures including pre-hoisting inspection, hanging slings, connecting hooks, trial hoisting, and rotation, Unit 2 of the first phase of the Zhejiang Sanao Nuclear Power Project of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group hoisted the second end beam. Completed successfully.
The main work of the ring hoisting construction has been basically completed, laying a solid foundation for subsequent dome hoisting and installation of main equipment, marking the full start of the nuclear island installation work of Unit 2.
This ring hoisting work mainly includes electrical beams, non-electrical beams, end beams, trolleys, etc. The heaviest electrical beam has a total weight of approximately 210 tons, a total length of 42.28 meters, a net width of 2.33 meters, and a height of 3.71 meters.
The project team fully absorbed the previous experience and good practices in ring hoisting construction, optimized the construction logic and core construction procedures, and overcame difficulties such as heavy assembly workload, deep construction and installation cross-cutting operations, and successfully completed the ring hoisting work.
The San'ao Nuclear Power Project plans to build six million-kilowatt nuclear power units. It is the first nuclear power project in Zhejiang Province to adopt China's fully independent intellectual property rights "Hualong One" third-generation nuclear power technology . Unit 2 of the San'ao Nuclear Power Project officially started construction on December 30, 2021. It is the first nuclear power unit to start construction during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period in Zhejiang Province . After all six units of the San'ao Nuclear Power Project are completed, the annual power generation will reach 52.5 billion kilowatt-hours, which will reduce the consumption of standard coal by 15.88 million tons and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 43.68 million tons.
