Jilin Oilfield’s first medium-low permeability geothermal project, the Fang 52 geothermal project, has been in operation for 10 days. This marks the completion and operation of the first geothermal "zero-carbon" demonstration area in Jilin Oilfield and another important breakthrough in low-carbon development of old oilfields.
It is understood that the Fang 52 geothermal project adopts a two-production and two-irrigation model to realize the recycling of geothermal water, replacing the entire heating furnace load at the station. After heat exchange at the station, the tail water is filtered and then recharged naturally. The project can save 1.41 million cubic meters of natural gas per year, save operating costs of 1.85 million yuan, and reduce total energy consumption by 1,818 tons of standard coal.
In recent years, Jilin Oilfield's surface system energy-saving work has continued to deepen, and it has become more difficult to tap energy-saving potential. It is necessary to further seek low-investment new energy alternatives. Jilin Oilfield is rich in geothermal energy resources. Geothermal energy resources can be effectively matched with oil field heat consumption and can replace the consumption of thermal energy such as oil and gas.
The Fang 52 geothermal project is located in the Yingtai mining area of ??Jilin Oilfield. In April this year, Yingtai Oil Production Plant selected four long-stop wells in the Fang 52 block to conduct thermal reservoir perforation and heat extraction and irrigation tests to explore the heat extraction efficiency and reasonable production flow rate and production temperature under different scenarios to provide underground Thermal storage development provides accurate parameters to accelerate the development and utilization of geothermal resources.
Since there were no previous demonstration cases of geothermal utilization in similar layers with medium and low permeability, and the permeable water layer in Block Fang 52 had no history of utilization, Jilin Oilfield adopted a joint approach of oil production plants and scientific research institutes to explore while testing. Project personnel overcame the difficulties of no comparison with the same layer, high difficulty in water extraction and irrigation analysis, and large displacement lifting, and innovatively developed an integrated composite perforation geothermal utilization method. On September 27, the Fang 52 geothermal project was officially put into operation. The Fang 52-02 heat recovery well and the Fang 52-08 recharge well were put into production at the same time. The initial daily flow rate of the heat recovery well reached 600 cubic meters, the liquid temperature was 62 degrees Celsius, and the wellhead pressure is 1 MPa, and the parameters of the two wells are within a reasonable range.
In the next step, Jilin Oilfield will continue to expand the application of geothermal resources in medium and low permeability reservoirs, expand waste heat utilization, combine with green power development, comprehensively strengthen the construction of "zero carbon" demonstration areas, and continue to promote the in-depth integration of new energy and traditional oil and gas businesses.
