This appointment is in line with the company's growth plan and its goal to move towards a more customer-centric company.
Solarpack has appointed Stefano Breda as new Chief Product Officer and member of the Executive Committee.
Stefano Breda will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products that the company will offer in the future and will work closely with Ivan Nieto, Solarpack's Chief Commercial Officer. He will also be in charge of product implementation, commercial portfolio management, forward hedging and risk management.
Stefano Breda has more than 15 years of professional experience. He started his career in the solar thin-film manufacturing business in Switzerland. He subsequently worked in various risk management and portfolio management roles for EDF Energy and Noble Group in London, focusing on European power and gas markets. In 2017 he joined AES, initially in Amsterdam, before moving to Chile. There he originated and structured over 1 GW of renewable PPAs in South America with clients in the mining sector, distribution companies and data centres. He was later appointed responsible for the commercial management of AES's regional portfolio, which included several GW of thermal and hydro power plants, new solar, wind and battery projects, as well as PPAs. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Padua (Italy) and has studied at the Department of Electronic Engineering and Information Technology at the ETH Zurich University.
