Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding AB ("SENS" or the "Company") announces today that the Company has signed a new land lease agreement for the construction of a solar park located near Jönåker, Södermanland County. With an expected capacity of 20-25 MW, the solar park is planned to be built in connection with the battery facility that SENS communicated on September 13, 2023.
SENS announces today that an agreement for the construction of a new solar park near Jönåker has now been signed. The solar park, with a planned capacity of 20-25 MW, is strategically placed to complement the ongoing project in Jönåker, enabling a synergistic combination of energy production and storage within the same geographical area.
When the solar park is fully operational, it is expected to generate an annual energy production of approximately 25,000 MWh, which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 5,000 residential households (based on 5,000 kWh per household). Through this agreement, SENS continues its expansion journey, and consolidates its position as a leading player in the development of infrastructure solutions that support the transition to renewable and sustainable energy.
Construction of the solar park is expected to begin in the second half of 2024 with a construction period of about one year depending on different delivery times.
The market value of solar park projects with 'Ready-to-build' status usually varies between SEK 250-500,000/MW. The value of this project can, but taking into account its unique characteristics, amount to SEK 6-12 million if all project rights are secured. At the moment, the lease agreement does not generate direct income for SENS; revenue is expected upon signing a sales or development agreement with a long-term partner or investor.
Henrik Boman, CEO of SENS, comments:
"We are enthusiastic about the signed agreement, which raises the initiated project in Jönåker to a new level. This synergistic combination with both battery storage and a solar park shows the potential of SENS' offer and now constitutes an exciting project that we look forward to starting work on."
