The Liaohe Oilfield Double 229 Block Circulation Injection Station has been running smoothly for 10 days since it was put into operation. This is the first CCUS supporting ground process system in Liaohe Oilfield that can realize all functions of capture, liquefaction, injection, and circulation processing. It will effectively support the dual 229 ultra-low permeability oil reservoirs to increase oil recovery and pave the way for the next step of carbon sequestration. , taking the first step in building a regional carbon storage in Liaohe Oilfield.
Shuang 229 Block is one of PetroChina's CCUS "four major and six small" pilot test areas, and is also the first carbon storage library among the "three major storage reservoirs" of gas storage, carbon storage, and energy storage built in Liaohe Oilfield. Achieving carbon dioxide recycling injection is an important foundation for ensuring CCUS carbon sources and reducing carbon prices.
The Dual 229 Block CCUS circulating injection station is the first and only circulating injection station in Liaohe Oilfield. The station is designed with an associated gas processing capacity of 240,000 cubic meters per day and a liquid carbon dioxide production capacity of 140,000 tons per year. "This circulating injection station can separate the oil and gas produced in the Shuang 229 block. The separated gas is led to the associated gas treatment device of the circulating injection station, where the carbon dioxide is purified, and then liquefied and pressurized and injected underground to form a circulating injection oil displacement. The separated crude oil is transported to the existing system through the established gathering and transportation trunk lines. This project can not only achieve the effect of increasing production, but also has economic benefits." Wang Zhipeng, director of the Double 229 Block Circulation Injection Station, said.
Previously, the station had completed the commissioning of the injection system on October 30. It has been operating safely and stably for 50 days so far, with a daily injection of 120 to 280 tons of liquid carbon dioxide, and a total injection of 7,000 tons. After four days and three nights of joint trial operation, at 23:00 on December 9, the double 229 block circulation injection station realized the production of liquid carbon dioxide products, and at 21:30 on December 10, the integrated operation of capture, liquefaction and injection was realized.
