As part of the oil sector's efforts to support industrial and economic development, the Oil Pipelines Company completed one of the formations of the Ministry of Oil. Works on the project to extend the gas pipeline connecting to the Najaf Al-Ashraf Cement Factory. The Director General of the Oil Pipelines Company, Ali Abdul Karim Al-Moussawi, said that the technical and engineering personnel working in the company were able to complete the project of laying a dry gas pipeline.

Al-Moussawi indicated that this achievement is considered the first work carried out by the oil pipeline company for the benefit of another company (in the form of a contract to supply, implement and operate an EPC) with profitable returns added to the company’s imports. Al-Moussawi indicated that the implementation of this project comes within the projects supporting the local private sector and national companies in implementation of the government program and The project manager, Naseer Ali Ahmed, stated that the project was implemented through national effort, in accordance with the approved technical standards.
