Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), met with Jean-Luc Guiziou, Senior Vice President for Exploration and Production for
Europe at TotalEnergies.
During the meeting, the sides hailed the long-term and effective cooperation between SOCAR and TotalEnergies, and the successful completion of the Early Production Scheme phase in the development of the Absheron gas-condensate field.
The discussions included a comprehensive review of the work accomplished under the Cooperation Agreement between TotalEnergies and SOCAR for the full-scale development of the Absheron gas-condensate field. Additionally, the parties discussed the outcomes of methane gas detection and measurement campaigns conducted by drones.
Throughout the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the potential expansion of collaboration in various areas, including oil and gas, green energy, decarbonization, and other matters of mutual interest.
