The Minister swore in, the new Board of Directors of the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency, appointed by the Holder of the Executive Branch, yesterday, the 19th. The Board of Directors chaired by Paulino Jerónimo, reappointed in office, includes the Administrators Executives, Artur Manuel Custódio , Ana Rosa da Costa Nhanga Miala , Nicola Isabel Lemos de Mvuayi and Alcides Fernandes Mendes de Andrade .
When directing the Ceremony, the Minister highlighted that the Country continues to focus on the development of the oil and gas sector, with ANPG, the National Concessionaire for the upstream segment, being a crucial part of the entire industry management system.
“I would now like to thank the outgoing Board of Directors for the good work carried out and wish all those who left their positions success in the next missions they will carry out in favor of the development of our Country”, declared the government official.
To the new cast, Diamantino Azevedo asked them to “dedicate special attention to following up on the work carried out, towards stabilizing oil production through the continuous implementation of the exploration strategy and also, to continue implementing the block bidding strategy, but with an even greater dynamic.”
The newly installed members of the ANPG Board of Directors swore loyalty to the Fatherland in carrying out the functions entrusted to them by the Angolan State, guaranteeing to defend the fundamental principles of the Constitution.
Present at the event were the Secretary of State for Finance and Treasury, Ottoniel dos Santos, representing the Minister of Finance, the Secretary of State for Mineral Resources, Jânio Correa Victor, the Secretary of State for Oil and Gas, José Barroso, Presidents of the Boards of Directors and Directors of Agencies, Institutes and companies overseen by MIREMPET, General Directors of operators and companies in the sector, as well as MIREMPET managers.
