Energy and marine consultancy ABL has been contracted to provide marine warranty survey services to support wind turbine installation vessels that will perform construction work at one of Japan’s offshore wind farms.
ABL’s scope of work includes the review, survey and approval of all operations relating to critical project assets using installation jack-up vessels on the undisclosed wind farm.
ABL’s work commenced in December 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The company’s Singapore office is leading the project, backed by the Japanese operations of its sister company OWC, the renewable energy consultants. OWC established an office in Tokyo in 2020 to support the rapidly emerging offshore wind market in Japan.
