Dr.Arshad Sufi is new president and general manager for BG Egypt. His previous positions include commercial vice president of LNG for BG-Egypt based in Cairo and Oman and Middle East vice president. Sufi joined BG Group in 2000 and has led the development of the Egyptian LNG project since then. Dr. Sufi obtained his PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University. He has diverse experience in various aspects of the Oil and Gas industry in both private and government companies. During his professional career, he has worked on various energy related projects in the US, Canada, Mexico, Trinidad, Egypt, and Qatar. Dr. Sufi has specialized in recent years on development of LNG projects. In his current assignment, he has led the development of the project for BG which has culminated in the realization of a new LNG project in the Mediterranean.
