Bathymetric survey is performed with different degrees of resolution, data density & accuracy according to the finalities of the survey & the specific demands of the Clients.
These ranging from the easiest survey, where bathymetric data are acquired by a single beam echo sounder along sections opportunely spaced, to the most complexes, executed with different types of high resolution multi beam echo sounders. This is the latest marine technology, that allows to investigate completely the seafloor with high detail & great density of data.
Stratigraphic survey allows to understand the geology & stratigraphy of the sub bottom, as well as to check the state of burial of submarine systems.
Depending from the nature of the subsoil & according to the resolution & penetration requested, different types of seismic sources can be used. These sources mainly are characterised by different frequency content & bandwidth of transmitted pulses. Every seismic profile allows to get extremely detailed information in the first meters of subsoil.
Morphological survey (with side scan sonar) helps to define the morphology of the seafloor, to study the nature & distribution of the sediments of the seafloor, of the rocky outcrops and/or sea grass prairies, debris & other underwater objects.
During the execution of each navigation line it is possible to investigate a corridor from 50 to 1000 m wide, depending from the resolution requested & the water depth of the work area. Usually the seafloor is investigated completely.
