Imperial Oil is one of Canada's largest corporations and has been a leading member of the petroleum industry for more than a century. Imperial Oil is an integrated energy company, which explore for produce, refine and market products essential to society. The company’s story began in 1880, when 16 refiners in southwestern Ontario created the Company. Imperial operates from coast to coast and are best known for the familiar brand names: Esso and Mobil.

As one of Canada’s leading producers of petrochemicals, Imperial produces a wide range of petrochemical products at the manufacturing facilities. The production streams include light oil, heavy oil, oil sands, natural gas liquids, conventional natural gas, coalbed methane, shale gas and oil, and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
