Yemen Company for Investment in Oil & Minerals (Yicom)

YICOM was established in Yemen as the first company to work in the field of oil and gas exploration and production. Due to the economic importance of YICOM, and for the purpose of realizing its objectives it was given by the law of its establishment a number of privileges, Such as: The company has legal and juridical personality, Enjoys complete financial and administrative autonomy, Has the right to participate with capitals wholly owned by it or participate in companies and Has the right to establish companies, with capitals wholly owned by it or participate in companies.

YICOM performs the following activities: - Representing the Ministry of Oil and Minerals in supervising and monitoring the operators on Block-5 (Jannah-Hunt) and following its share in Block-20. - Exploiting Block-5 and Block-20, with other oil companies. - Establishing co-venture with Oil Service Companies. - Carrying out the operation assignment in Block-4, by qualified Yemeni personnel. - Preparing and executing training programs for the company personnel. - Promoting for new co-ventures in the exploration area,and the oil and gas services.
