The scope of the ECS contract is to prepare a detailed design and construction tender package for the proposed buildings and facilities, including; 1. New Security Building development at RLC main gate incorporating offices, training section, canteen, mosque, public toilets, parking and landscaping. As well as a separate general store building and a vehicle warehouse building 2, Security water wing staff building in RLC Port 3, HSE waste management office building in RLC camp.
The proposed development is spread over three separate locations, with the main buildings parking and landscaping development located at the Ras Laffan main entrance gate MG#1, adjacent to the existing Security Building. The two smaller buildings are located in the RLC Port Area and in the RLC Camp Area to cater for specialist staff stationed in those areas.
The ECS contract will develop a set of building concepts, with three proposed options to be provided for the new Security Building due to its importance and prominence at the Ras Laffan main entrance gate, and a single option developed for each of the other smaller buildings.
ECS contractor will also prepare designs for site plan development, access roads with associated infrastructure, parking spaces, pedestrian walkways, landscaping and public spaces as well as the building designs complete with all architectural finishes, civil/structural details, building services and required utilities. Site topographical surveys and geo-technical investigations are to be carried out by the ECS Contractor and a final cost estimate for the construction works, including a detailed Bill of Quantities will be prepared by the ECS contractor.
