Scope  Adgas currently operates 3 LNG trains. Trains 1 & 2 were commissioned in 1977 and are now more than 25 years old. Train 3 was built in May 1994 and produces 3 million tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG. Adgas currently produces 5.149 mtpa of LNG and 1.667 mtpa of LPG.

Adgas is planning to set up a new 5 million tones per year (t/y) LNG Train to replace the existing Trains 1 & 2 in order to accommodate the additional feedstock anticipated from Adma-Ocpo as according to the study, Adgas decided that the upgrade of the existing Trains 1 & 2 is not a feasible option and suggested a base capacity option of 5 million t/y and an alternative option of up to 8 million t/y.

The scope of the project will include:
1- Inlet facility.
2- Gas sweetening & treatment plant includes dehydration and acid gas recovery units.
3- Liquefaction unit includes condensate and sulfur recovery units.
4- LPG recovery unit includes fractionation and storage facilities .
5- NGL extraction unit.
6- Offsites & utilities.

Some of the key equipment are: De-methanizer, De-ethanizer, De-propanizer, Cold box, Gas turbines, Compressors and drivers, Heat exchangers & Cryogenic heat exchangers, Air coolers, and Refrigerant coolers.
